Annual membership of $20 a person runs from January 1 to December 31. Any amount above the $20 can be tax-deductible since we are a 501C(3) non-profit.

The benefits of SPPA membership are:

  •  Special invitation to all dedications and shout-out to our members. SPPA usually has 2 -3 dedications per year after an art piece has been installed. There, you can meet the featured artist and our board members.

  • 10% off at our art and yard sales and most SPPA events. Usually SPPA has an art or yard sale every year and at least 2 - 3 fundraising events such as the Kentucky Derby Party or Shock Theater Comes to Olde Towne.

  • Exclusive invitations to art trips. We are planning art trips to learn what other areas are doing in public art. Some of our excursions will be day trips to the art scene to the NEON District in Norfolk, VIBE district in Virginia Beach, Richmond, and Wilson,NC. More distant art destinations are Alexandra,VA. and Beaufort, NC.  As soon as life becomes more normal and things open up for business, we will start to firm up the schedule.

  • Participation in our art production and installations. Much of our produced art from The Circle mural to the numerous murals on the Cradock Branch Library has been produced by our volunteers. Installations of murals have mostly been a volunteer activity. We hope that you can join in the fun.

  • Annual meet and greet our artists. This summer SPPA will be hosting an event to honor all the artists who have made our city more beautiful and interesting. As a member you will also be an honored guest.

  • Receive our quarterly newsletter, “The Toadstool” A new feature of our organization will inform you of the local art in our city and surrounding area.

  • Annual survey.  As an especially-valued member your responses to our survey, your opinions, and suggestions will help determine the direction that SPPA goes.
